Dear all,
As we put away our Passover dishes and storm the bakeries to buy bread and pasta yet again, it seems like more than seven days have passed. The country has swept away its cobwebs and emerges into a beautiful springtime. And we go back to work, not enslaved like we were in Egypt but hopefully each to his profession with joy and gusto. I look forward to the Knesset’s Spring session, soon to start, and to collaborating with friends in Congress. Together, in the next few months, we face decisions on how to deal with an Iranian presence in Syria; the BDS boycott-Israel extravaganza; and internal questions of religion and state, to name a few.
We also are just one month from celebrating fifty (!) years of a united Jerusalem as capital of the State of Israel, reunified and under independent Jewish rule for the first in about 2000 years. We are back, and we aren’t making any excuses for our Zionism. You’ll have the chance to join us in person or live online; stay tuned for details on how you can be here, with us, to celebrate Jerusalem, this very special city.
